Seniors are affected by government decisions in many different ways, including emotionally and financially.
If a senior believes they have been treated unfairly by a government body including the regional health authorities and the Public Guardian and Trustee, he or she is encouraged to resolve the concern with the agency.
If attempts at resolution are unsuccessful the Office of the Ombudsperson may be able to help by conducting an investigation.
This discussion will include an overview of the role of the Office of the Ombudsperson and examples of complaints that we have been able to help seniors and their families with.
